Field Trip Etiquette

 

All events are posted individually on our Facebook page. View the Events menu to see upcoming activities. Participants can choose an RSVP status for each event: Going, Maybe or Not Going. If you aren't interested in going, then no action is required and your status defaults to “Not Going.”

 

• Please realize that organizing events and field trips is a volunteer job for the organizer. 

 

• When you plan to attend an event, please be sure to RSVP. This courtesy ensures an accurate headcount, which is vital when minimum or maximum participants are required. 

 

• If plans change and you cannot attend, PLEASE BE SURE to change your RSVP status on the event. This is a courtesy for those who will be expecting you. 

 

• Remember to show up early, not when the field trip starts. For example, if the event is posted to start at 10:30, plan to arrive no later than 10:15 to find parking and pay admission.

 

• If you are late, know the field trip will start without you.

 

• Make sure your younger children are well-behaved. Thanking the field trip hosts and staff is always good protocol. 

 

• Remember, your family's behavior reflects back on the homeschooling community. Encourage good behavior.

 

 

LIABILITY STATEMENT

 

• Participants agree that CCHC and its organizers are not liable for anything that may happen while attending one of our events.

 

• Participants affirm that it is the responsibility of the parent to watch his/her child at all times and ensure their safety.

 

• Participants promise to be mindful of their children to ensure they are not causing harm to others or property, and acknowledge that failure to do so will result in removal from the group.
